Tournament

Game: FIFA 22

Starting time: 19:00 CEST (Participants from a different timezone are responsible for converting it to their own time)

Console: PS4 (or PS4 version on the PS5)

Personal controller: Permitted

Match amount: 1 game + restart game for golden goal in case of a draw.

Format: Round-robin group stage -> Top 8 single elimination bracket. (Depening on the amount of sign-ups, the format might change) 

Who: All participants should be students at the participating university or university college in the academic years 2020-2021 or 2021-2022.

All participants need to have access to a PlayStation 4 (or PS4 version on the PS5) and FIFA22 on PSN during the entire length of the tournament. Sharing a PlayStation to compete in the tournament is not allowed.

Participants are also required to join Discord, to ensure good communication between players and the admin. If a player cannot be contacted through Discord in a timely manner, the admin can decide to forfeit that player from the tournament.

The check-in opens up 1 hour before the start of the tournament, don't forget to check in! Players who are not checked in, will not be able to participate.

Example: If the tournament is set to start at 19:00, players will be able to check-in between 18:00 and 18:59.

Teams: The participants are allowed to play with any club team available in the game.

Level: Worldclass

Length: 12 minutes (6 per half)

Speed: Fast

Weather: Clear

Injuries: Off

Subs/strategy: 3 per game

Pause: Ball out of bounds

Gamemode: 90-rated - online teams!

General rules

Admin

The admin has the final say and their decision is non-debatable. Contact the admin on Discord. All communication is confidential.

Screenshots

If there is a dispute over the score, only a screenshot with a timestamp will be accepted as valid proof.

Disconnect

If a player disconnects during a game and is not able to return, he will lose by forfeit. No exceptions. If the opponent disconnects, don't leave the game until you have confirmation from an admin that you are the winner. Take a screenshot.

Scores

Scores need to be filled in on the tournament page after the game, this can be done by going to the "Results" tab. If a player doesn't fill in their match result, the bracket will not be updated.

Cheating

Cheats are not allowed. If a player is caught cheating, they will be banned from all BSL tournaments for a period of 2 years.

Hosting

The player on the top side of the bracket hosts the match.
