AUEM 2023 Clash Royale Qualifiers
Tournament
Platform: Mobile (Android/iOS phone or tablet)
Game: Clash Royale
Mode: Friendly match, 1v1
Format: BO3, Double Elimination
Participants: All participants must be 18 years or older and study at a Belgian university or university of applied sciences (hogeschool).
Don't forget to check-in between 12:00 and 13:59! This way we know you are ready to play. Players who are not checked-in, will not be able to participate in the tournament.
Game
Lobby creation
All matches must be played using the Clash Royale "Friendly Match" feature. The Friendly Match feature is available through the in game friends tab. In order to play a friendly match, players must exchange friend requests or send each other a match invite. It is advised to contact your opponent through Discord, in the "#uem-clash-royale" text channel.
The bracket will be made available at the start of the tournament, all match-ups are seeded randomly.
Bans
Before the start of the BO3, each player bans a single Clash Royale card. Champions are unbannable. (the player on the top side of the bracket bans first). Neither players will be allowed to play these banned cards during that BO3. Bans will be messaged to your opponent using Discord. This can be done after adding your opponent to your friends list.
Players are allowed to not ban a card if they wish. The decision to not ban a card, will not invalidate the outcome of the match.
If for any reason the match is rehosted, the same bans will be used.
Format
Each match will be a Bo3 on the “Friendly Battle” game mode, this sets the games to:
• Limit cards and King/Princess Towers to level 11
• Each player bans 1 card at the beginning of the Bo3 (Champions are unbannable)
• Game length: 3 minutes standard, 2 minutes overtime
General rules
Admin
The admin has the final say and their decision is non-debatable. Contact the admin on Discord. All communication is confidential.
No Show
If a player does not respond, contact the admin on Discord. You must then wait 10 minutes. If after this time, your opponent has still not responded, contact the admin again. The admin will then consider forfeiting the nonresponsive player.
Screenshots
If there is a dispute over the score, only a screenshot with a timestamp will be accepted as valid proof.
Disconnect
In case of technical issues, players may agree to replay the game. Technical issues include, but not limited to: internet connectivity, technical issues with your device or game updates being pushed during the match.
Scores
After your game, fill in the score in the "Results" tab on the tournament page. If you do not fill in your score, the system will not be able to push you to the next stage in the bracket.
Cheating
Cheats are not allowed. If a player is caught cheating, they will be removed from the tournament and banned from all RIV4L tournaments for a period of 2 years.
Hosting
The player on the top side of the bracket will always host the friendly match, unless both players agree otherwise.

To ensure fair play and integrity of this tournament, the admins can modify these rules at any time if needed.
