AUEM 2023 TFT Qualifiers - Playoffs
All communication regarding the tournament (lobbies, standings, etc.) will be shared through Discord.
Tournament
Platform: PC (or mobile)
Game: Teamfight Tactics
Format: Check "Format" below
Games: FFA, Normal Mode
Participants: All participants must study at a Belgian university or university of applied sciences (hogeschool).
Playoffs: Top 4 players per qualifier move on to the Playoffs.
The check-in opens up 1 hour before the start of the tournament, don't forget to check in! Players who are not checked in, will not be able to participate.
Example: If the tournament is set to start at 19:00, players will be able to check in between 18:00 and 18:59.
Format
Qualifiers:
• Lobbies of 8 players each.
• If a lobby is incomplete, refer yourself to the Incomplete lobbies clause.
• 4 games in each lobbies.
• Lobbies are shuffled after every games.
• Top 4 of each qualifiers advances to the playoffs.
Playoffs:
• 8 players compete in one lobby.
• Players compete until reaching a Checkmate (18 points) state.
• Once a player has surpassed the minimum of points required to enter Checkmate, they must then score a 1st place in a subsequent round in order to be crowned champion.
• Max. 7 games, if a seventh game is required, the Champion will be declared based on the score.
Distribution of points:
1st - 8 points
2nd - 7 points
3rd - 6 points
4th - 5 points
5th - 4 points
6th - 3 points
7th - 2 points
8th - 1 point
Tiebreakers:
When 2 (or more) players are tied in terms of points, they will be decided as follows in the order below:
• Number of TOP 1.
• Average ranking.
• Number of TOP 4 or better placements.
• The best ranking of the last game.
Incomplete lobbies:
If a lobby is not filled with 8 tournament participants, there will be a random online player. The position of this random player and the points awarded for this position will be lost. (The position of the other players will not change.)
Example: If a random player gets 3rd place, 7 points will be lost. 4th place and below will not move up one position.

General rules
Discord:
All players must join the Belgian Student League Discord to participate in the tournament. Players who are not able to be found in Discord will not be able to participate. (Make sure that your Discord name in the BSL Discord server is the same as on this website)
Lobby:
The lobby leader (player at the top of the list) will create the lobby for the game.
Admin:
The admin has final say and their decision is non-debatable. Contact the admin on Discord. All communication is confidential, and cannot be shared without permission from the admin.
No show:
If a player is not ready to start playing the game 10 minutes after the official starting time of the tournament, they will be disqualified. Before disqualification, this always has to be confirmed by an admin.
Scores:
The player who finished first must post a screenshot of the end game lobby in their designated text channel with the round & lobby number.
Cheating:
Cheats are not allowed. If a player is caught cheating, they will be disqualified immediately en will receive a ban from future Belgian Student League competitions.
